Version 5.2 now released https://roeurboat.wordpress.com/2009/11/18/autostart-v5-2/
After two emails per week for the past few weeks I decided it was time to release a new version of my plugin.
For those of you who are new to it, this plugin lets you launch homebrew, PSX games and ISOs on startup by pressing the configured button. You can also set something to automatically start without the need to press any buttons.
It now supports the GEN firmwares and I’ve added support for Bubbletune’s Game Categories plugin so you can browse the CAT_* folders too. There’s also a small bugfix for the small number of you that have games with no name.
This should work for everyone but if you come across any problems just post a comment or email me. You can also follow me on twitter @roe-ur-boat to get status updates on it.
You can download version 5.1 here:

To Michael and nio, I’m going to need more information from you, how many games have you got on your memory stick, what brand is your memory stick, what model PSP have you got? If you haven’t got many games then could you list them out for me. Feel free to send this to my email.
Mr Shizzy, thanks, 😀

Hey man this is a great plugin, I used it all the time. v5.1 wouldn’t work. I just tried v5.2 and I just get a black screen after it boots.
I have a psp 2000 mobo TA-085v2
I’m running 5.50GEN-D2
8gb sony memory stick
I turn off all other plugins
I have all kinds of stuff on my memory stick, don’t know
where to start on that one.
I hope to see this working on my psp soon. Thanks for keeping
this plugin alive.

Hey there, try out this version here, it should fix it for you and I’ll be releasing it later once I get a different GUI.

Ok I have tested the new version, and everything but the autoboot
is working. I have tried ISO’s homebrew games and apps, they are all working.
I’m trying to autoboot the pmf player, so I can boot a cintro.
I tried enabling and disabling the wlan swich check, but still no go.
If I set the same pmf player as anything else and it will work.
This is the pmf player I’m trying to use–> http://www.mediafire.com/?nmmtdzwlnmm

Does it crash or does it just not start? If it’s not starting make sure you’ve got autoboot enabled.

I have it enabled, and it just dont auto start anything I try. The xmb’s just load. No crash.

Can you upload your Config.roe in the seplugins directory so I can have a look?
November 19, 2009 at 8:03 pm |
IDK if it matters but, I have the time machine ipl loader intalled on my memory stick with DC8 modded to install 5.50GEN-D.
Heres my config.roe http://www.mediafire.com/?mobonvmoz02

According to the config file you uploaded, autostart is disabled, select the “Enable autoboot.” option in the options menu and the “Disable WLAN switch check.” so they say “Disable autoboot” and “Enable WLAN switch check.” and it should start fine.

So in the autostart app I set autostart to disabled and it works now.
November 19, 2009 at 8:46 pm |
Ok I see.
If you see disable autoboot = autoboot on
If you see enable autoboot = autoboot off
Sorry I didn’t understand. Anyway thanks for the great app/plugin:)

I hope you don’t mind, but I hex edited your EBOOT.PBP.
I changed the autoboot to say:
Autoboot is ON
Autoboot is OFF
Maybe a little less confusing, well to me it is lol. Have a look.
